The kitchen is the heart of the home and the room buyers judge first. We design and build kitchen renovations across Canberra and surrounds β beautiful, functional, and managed end to end.
From cabinet refacing and benchtop upgrades to a complete new kitchen, we tailor the work to your goal and budget. If you're selling, we focus on the updates that lift buyer appeal without overcapitalising; if you're staying, we design around how you actually cook and live.
A kitchen renovation can mean anything from a light cosmetic refresh to a complete rebuild, and the right one for you depends on the state of your existing kitchen and what you're trying to achieve. A refresh keeps the existing layout and cabinet framework and updates the parts you see and touch β new benchtops, cabinet doors and handles, splashback, tapware and paint. A full renovation replaces the cabinetry, benchtops, appliances and finishes, and may reconfigure the layout. In between sits a huge range of options, which is why two Canberra kitchens the same size can cost very different amounts.
Four things move the price more than anything else, and knowing them helps you spend where it counts:
For a fuller picture of what these choices mean when you're selling, see our guide to kitchen renovation ROI in Canberra, and for whole-home budgeting our guide to pre-sale renovation costs.
Many kitchen renovations β a like-for-like update that doesn't move walls or change the structure β don't require building approval in the ACT. What always applies is that the licensable trades (electrical, plumbing and gas) must be carried out by licensed tradespeople, and if your job does need building approval it must be done by a licensed builder. We manage all of that for you: licensed trades, the right approvals where they apply, and the paperwork. Our guide on choosing a renovation company explains what to check.
Most kitchens are finished in a matter of weeks once work begins, depending on scope and whether the layout changes. If you're renovating to sell, it's worth planning the kitchen around your sale campaign so the home shows at its best when it hits the market β Canberra's busiest selling months run from late winter into spring.
Being honest about this is part of good advice. If your kitchen is dated but genuinely functional and you're selling, a deep clean, new handles and fresh paint often capture most of the buyer appeal for a fraction of a renovation. And if the kitchen isn't the weakest part of the home, your money usually works harder elsewhere first. We'll tell you when that's the case β including when to leave it as it is.
Selling soon? We focus on the updates buyers respond to, without overcapitalising. Staying put? We design around how you live. Either way, it's managed end to end.
Tell us about your home and your goal. We'll come back with honest advice on the smartest way forward β whether you're selling or staying.
